I'm Ernesto Trevino-Pena, the engineer behind ETP Electronics. My work sits at the intersection of electronics engineering and the sea — designing systems that mariners can stake their safety on.
Every product I design is built with the marine environment in mind: salt spray, vibration, electromagnetic interference, and power constraints don't get second chances at sea. That means rigorous design practices, thorough testing, and a relentless focus on reliability before anything ships.

Sensor Array
Real-time ocean data station measuring water temperature, salinity, depth, dissolved oxygen, and wave height. Low-power design with solar charging and satellite uplink for offshore deployment.
Communication
Custom AIS transponder with onboard DSP for SOTDMA timing, integrated VHF antenna coupler, and direct NMEA 0183 output. Designed for retrofit into vessels with limited installation space.
